The SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala says, “It is alleged that on 20 April 2022, at 21:30, Verulam police received a report of a person who was killed and buried in a shallow grave at Zwelisha.”

When the police arrived at Zwelisha area in Verulam they found the 34-year-old suspect at the mercy of the community. Lt. Col. Gwala says, “she was rescued from the angry community members by police. The suspect was taken to Verulam SAPS for further investigation.
