HelpLift Network in Vanderbijlpark, more than just a charity shop

On Monday the 7th of March 2022, I paid HelpLift Network in Vanderbijlpark a visit that I enjoyed immensely. HelpLift is a Charity Shop situated at 12 FW Reitz Street in CW4, Vanderbijlpark. It is housed in an old N.G church and run by a group of volunteers.

The aim of the charity shop is to help people in various ways, except giving food parcels. The shop management receives clothes, kitchen utensils, linen, shoes, toys, books and many, many more which they sell at very affordable prices to those who are in the low income bracket, who can’t afford to spend a lot of money on such items. They also work with churches and other non-governmental organisations to help those in dire need.

They also hold women empowerment projects which include free sewing courses for women.
