Vanderbijlpark: Due to the delay in NSFAS funding decisions, Vaal University of Technology Student Representative Council (SRC) has made a decision to bar any students into the University for registration until a decision from NSFAS has been made. This will ensure that all students register at the same time and none will be privileged by registering earlier. SRC President, Maanda Masendi, said that those who are still waiting for the NSFAS will be at a disadvantage, yet it’s not their fault.
AB NEWS spoke to Maanda yesterday the 26th of January 2022. Listen to the interview on SOUNDCLOUD.
‘NSFAS has made funding decisions to eligible applicants. Should your NSFAS status be approved on the NSFAS portal you may proceed with the final process of the registration on the VUT Online system iEnabler.’

NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS
VUT CIRCULAR
Following a circular received from NSFAS on Tuesday, 25 January 2022 the
University Management has resolved to postpone commencement of registrations
whilst awaiting funding decisions.
Senior registrations will now commence on Monday, 31 January 2022 and first-
year registrations will commence on Thursday, 27 January 2022.
Should there be any change to this schedule, a communique will be sent out
timeously.
Issued by the Office of the Registrar
The question yet to be answered is, will this delay not affect the 2022 academic year? Students are expected to start checking into their residences from the 5th of February.
