Nke Serobe passes away

It is with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of the author of the book, Absence of the Father, Pastor Nke Serobe.

The Vaal Triangle has indeed been robbed of a jewel, Nke was a pillar in the community and was passionate about absent fatherhood, hence her book, Absence of the Father. She was active in GBV awareness campaigns and women empowerment. She was an inspirational speaker of note and a mentor to many.

The cause of her death is unknown.

Friends and family have expressed sadness and shock at the news of her passing:

Pastor Tshepo Mosala, “What a humble soul she was, with such powerful vision and mission… What a women of stature she was, powerful yet humble. Blessed yet humble๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”

Rest In Christ dear former colleague๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ
Good bye Nke Serobe ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ” Facebook

Psalmist Boikie Modise also wrote, “My Heart is broken!!!
Fare Thee Well oh Dear Life Changer/ People Impactor
Rest Well Nke Serobe๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™” Facebook

Thando Mnisi wrote, “Sunday you drove to my house we spent time reminding how far we come with hustling, little did I know it was our last Rest in peace Nke.” Facebook

This morning on Nke’s WhatsApp status was a confirmation of her passing by her daughter, Thando:

May her soul rest in eternal peace
