The unsung hero of song

How do I pay tribute to a living legend? Could I send exotic flowers? Or perhaps I could buy him a fancy shirt or tie. How about penning a ditty for the unsung hero of song?

Can mere lyrics be enough to honour a friend and a musical giant?

I hear his name mentioned among musical gurus. I am told he raised icons and was the wind beneath many big names in the industry. I hear he paved ways and opened doors for many-a-musician… I hear many have stood tall because they stood on the shoulders of this giant…

How do I honour you my friend? A seasoned drummer and talented producer. I tried posting on Facebook, but is it enough?

Herman Chimusoro and Oliver Mtukudzi said it, many years ago, that you my friend, deserve an accolade. Many have rose up to say, “Give credit where it is due, for Bothwell Nyamhondera, it is long overdue.”

His contribution to the music industry is priceless. We can never put a value on his work

Oliver Mtukudzi

Bothwell Nyamhondera, you’re appreciated, for your contribution to the music industry and for your friendship. Makakosha VaNyamhondera…
