Keeping the book culture alive

If you were to be given 2 options, a book or a movie. What would you choose? I bet a movie! Most people are not aware of the importance of reading books. Successful people read books. It is a great way to exercise the mind.

When I was a teacher I always encouraged parents to give their children a book to read. After reading, get them to retell the story and also rewrite it. I find it to be a very effective way of helping children to improve their grades at school. This is also a wonderful way to keep them busy during this lockdown. Why don’t you give it a try?

Books improve vocabulary and knowledge. Books are a form of relaxation and meditation. Reading books is edifying the soul. I discovered this article on Lifehacks and encourage you to visit it…. Why not put the phone and remote control away every now and then and cuddle up with a nice cup of tea and a book? You will thank me later.

  1. Agree, unfortunately, today’s society are giving young minds electronic devices than books.
