May is Afrika Month

Now that Mother’s Day is gone, I can focus on Afrika Month, May. It’s a wonderful coincidence for me, that Afrika Day and Mother’s Day share the same month. Afrika, being my Motherland. My home. Some might call it the dark continent, I call it home.

Some people who have never been here still think that Africa is just a jungle, full of wild animals and hooligans! Some speak of it as if it’s a country. Duh, it’s a continent with 54 independent nations according to worldometer. It has its good, bad, ugly and unspeakable! But, I love her, Afrika, my Motherland.

  1. A continent that was stripped off its potential and its people degraded and dehuminized. Nonetheless, I am proud to be an off spring of the African soil. I am super excited for this month. I love Africa, too.
