When a person says, ‘God bless you’, have you ever wondered which god is this person talking about? Can a person who does not believe in God say, ‘God bless you’, meaning the real God, or maybe meaning his god? I’m just wondering. ‘God bless you’, is that the speaker’s God or the hearer’s God?
I really don’t understand how a country with anti-Christian laws will actually say, ‘let us pray.’ Who are you praying to? Let us just be honest with each other. Who are you praying to in times of trouble when your country’s laws are against God’s principles?
This is just the thing, it’s either you say, okay, everyone has freedom of religion, but as the heads of state we are going to be Christian and we will enforce laws according to the Bible. Why do we assume that a God we don’t obey should answer our prayers?

The Bible says, obedience is better than sacrifice. So, where there is no obedience, there is bound to be punishment. I mean, if your rebellious child demands that you buy her or him a new phone, would you do it speedily? Would you even lose sleep over the request?
You don’t just pray to God when you are in trouble…. and you don’t run to him with demands before first confessing your sins and admitting that you are a sinner. Repentance is the key. He said in,
2 Chronicles 7:14 New International Version (NIV)
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
According to HIM, first, you humble yourselves, pray and seek HIS face and turn from your wickedness… THEN I… THEN I.... read it again
So, it’s a give and take… it’s not a take and take. I ask again, if a country’s laws are clearly against God, when the president says, ‘God bless you’, which god is that? When a president says, ‘let us pray,’ to who??? So, before you say ‘Amen,’ know which god you are saying ‘amen’ to. Where are God-fearing presidents?
God bless you
